Simon Garratt

Owner & Company Director | Associate Ambulance Practitioner

Simon Garratt is the Owner and Company Director of South Wales Medical Services and a clinically qualified Associate Ambulance Practitioner, with extensive frontline experience in pre-hospital emergency care and specialist response operations.

In addition to his clinical role, Simon is trained as a Special Operations Response Team (SORT) member, with specialist training in CBRN incidents, marauding terrorist attacks (MTA), and water rescue operations. This advanced training underpins his strong understanding of risk, command structures, and casualty management in complex and high-threat environments.

Simon’s operational background ensures that South Wales Medical Services is built on
robust clinical governance, realistic training, and evidence-based practice. He leads the organisation’s training delivery, clinical oversight, and governance frameworks, ensuring all EMTs, paramedics, and responders meet nationally recognised standards and operate in line with best practice aligned to CQC principles.

Remaining actively involved in frontline deployments, Simon provides hands-on leadership and real-time clinical oversight across events, workplaces, and high-risk environments. His approach is grounded in professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring South Wales Medical Services consistently delivers safe, compliant, and dependable medical support when it matters most.

Nieaal

Operations Manager

Nieaal is the Operations Manager at South Wales Medical Services, responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of medical operations across South Wales and the UK.

With a strong background in frontline pre-hospital care and operational delivery, Nieaal plays a key role in ensuring medical deployments are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with clinical governance and best practice standards. He works closely with clinical leads and event organisers to manage staffing, logistics, and operational risk across a wide range of environments, including public events, workplaces, and high-risk settings.

Nieaal is actively involved in operational command, staff coordination, and real-time incident management, providing on-the-ground leadership to medical teams. His hands-on approach ensures that EMTs, paramedics, and first responders are properly briefed, supported, and equipped to deliver high-quality patient care.
In addition to operational leadership, Nieaal supports training delivery, competency management, and quality assurance, helping to maintain the high standards expected of South Wales Medical Services. His focus on professionalism, reliability, and continuous improvement ensures that every deployment is delivered to the highest standard, giving clients confidence that expert medical support is in place.

Rachel Philips
HR, Administration & Training Administrator
Rachel  is responsible for Human Resources, administration, and training coordination at South Wales Medical Services, playing a vital role in supporting the organisation’s operational and clinical delivery.

With a strong focus on compliance, organisation, and staff support, Rachel oversees recruitment administration, onboarding, DBS processing, records management, and ongoing personnel documentation. Her work ensures that all staff meet the required standards and are fully compliant before deployment.

As Training Administrator, Rachel manages course administration, bookings, certifications, and training records, supporting the delivery of accredited first aid and medical training programmes. She works closely with clinical leads and instructors to ensure training courses are well organised, accurately recorded, and delivered to a consistently high standard.

Rachel’s attention to detail, professionalism, and structured approach are central to maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of South Wales Medical Services. Her role ensures that both staff and clients experience a well-managed, compliant, and professional service at every stage.

Kimberley Garratt
Administration & Social Media Manager
Kimberley  supports the day-to-day operations of South Wales Medical Services through her role in administration and social media management, helping ensure the organisation runs smoothly and maintains a strong professional presence.

Working closely with the management team, Kimberley assists with administrative coordination, document management, and internal support, contributing to the efficient delivery of medical services and training operations. Her role helps maintain clear communication, organisation, and consistency across the business.

As Social Media Manager, Kimberley is responsible for managing the company’s online presence, sharing service updates, training announcements, and operational highlights across platforms. She plays a key role in communicating with clients, learners, and the wider community, ensuring that South Wales Medical Services remains visible, accessible, and professional online.
