๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Mini Medics โ€“ First Aid for Children

Empowering the Next Generation of Lifesavers

At South Wales Medical Services, we believe itโ€™s never too early to learn how to save a life. Our Mini Medics First Aid Course introduces children and young people to the essential principles of first aid in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

Delivered by qualified medical professionals with real-world experience, this nationally recognised programme helps children build the confidence to act calmly and responsibly in an emergency โ€” skills that could one day make all the difference.

๐ŸŒŸ Confidence. Compassion. Life Skills.

Designed for children aged 8 to 16, our Mini Medics sessions combine interactive learning, hands-on practice, and team-based activities to make first aid both exciting and educational.

Children will learn:

  • How to assess a situation and get help
  • Checking for breathing and using the recovery position
  • CPR and using an AED (automated external defibrillator)
  • Treating common injuries such as cuts, grazes, burns, and nosebleeds
  • Understanding how to stay safe and help others safely

Each course is tailored to suit the groupโ€™s age and confidence level, ensuring every child leaves with new skills โ€” and a sense of pride in what theyโ€™ve achieved.

๐Ÿ“š Did You Know?

First aid education is now compulsory in schools across England, with children learning basic life-saving skills as part of the national curriculum.
Our Mini Medics course follows the same principles โ€” meaning your child will not only gain vital skills early but will also be ahead of the curve when it comes to secondary education requirements and life readiness.

For Welsh schools, youth groups, and parents, Mini Medics is a fantastic way to introduce essential first aid learning that complements modern education standards and supports the development of responsible, confident young people.
